NZ SL

 Kia Ora bloggers,

This week is New Zealand Sign Language or NZSL. Today Papa Jarrod (our te reo teacher) taught us how to spell out our names in sign language and he also showed us how to sign family and Aotearoa. Here is a little video of me doing it. I really enjoyed doing this because it was fun to see other people signing their names. I found it a bit challenging to remember how to do each letter but in the end I figured it out.

If you want to learn some sign language of your own here is the alphabet.

Blog you later!

  1. Ka pai Hasti. Great skills to be able to create a video and then record your voice over the top. I really like the way you included the sign language chart so that other people can have a go. Have you ever used sign language in a real life situation?
